Video Game Consoles
The world of video game consoles is broken down into three main players at this time, and they are the PlayStation 3, the Nintendo Wii, and the XBox360. Each has advantages, and some games are only released for one of the platforms. All three offer endless fun for users of all ages.
The Microsoft XBox 360 is currently offered in two basic models, with the budget-priced model offering 256 MB of storage space and connectivity to external drives, and the next model up including a 250 GB hard drive instead. Along with games, this player will play DVD movies, and there are a variety of controllers to go with the system, from musical instruments to driving kits and even fishing rods.
The Sony PlayStation 3 offers two basic models as well, with an entry level unit with 120 GB hard drive and an advanced unit with a 250 GB hard drive. The PlayStation 3 has the unique ability to play Blue-Ray discs as well as games, and also offers a wide variety of accessories to use with the games.
The Nintendo Wii system offers a huge number of accessories, and is the one that has interactive motion sensitive controllers for most games. Combining exercise and video gaming in one package, the Wii offers the widest array of available accessories. You can choose from the standard musical instruments, fishing rods, and driving kits that all three consoles share, or opt for some specialized exercise equipment, skateboarding simulators, electronic rifles, nunchucks, or bowling balls, and get your exercise while you play games.
